8 SIMPLE WAYS TO GET MORE FACEBOOK LIKES

With organic reach fading fast on Facebook, with no sign of recovery unless you pay we ask the question “is there anything we can do to get more Facebook Likes?”

Well, there are quite a few ways to get more Facebook Likes, so here are 8 smart ways to do so. But the bigger question you should be asking is, “is it worth the time and effort that it takes to chase down Facebook Likes?” We will answer that one at the end.

How to get more Facebook Likes – 8 Smart ways to get more Likes

1/ Ask for Likes on your personal Facebook page

A good way to start getting more Facebook likes is to simply ask your friends and followers on your personal Facebook page. Share with them some new news or something interesting, an update perhaps and then ask for Likes on the post. Be sure to tag in your page name using the @ then the name. So if I was tagging my page it would look like this @Infobunny

2/ Add a Facebook Like Button to your blog

Simply download a Facebook Like Plugin to add the Like function to all your posts and pages. You can add a like button to the top or bottom of each post or set up with a sidebar widget to encourage more Facebook Likes.

3/ Write about your Facebook Page

Create an article introducing your Facebook page. Link to your page and link back from your page to your blog. Continue your branding from your site to your Facebook page.

4/ Share your page on your social channels

Tell your Twitter followers, Stumble your page on StumbleUpon to boost your traffic. Create specific images that you can share on Instagram and Pinterest. If you want to go all in then make an Instagram just for your page so that you can then use that page id as a clickable link on your main Instagram so giving you clickable links on Instagram. Use this new page to share your page updates. Add your Facebook pages link to the new pages bio link section.

5/ Add your Facebook Page link to your email signature

Most email platforms allow you to create an email signature, and better yet, they can be links. Go ahead and add a link to your Facebook page in your email signature. You should also have your main social channels linked and of course your blog or website

6/ Post consistently on your Facebook page

You have to be consistently posting original content to your page. News, updates, contests, giveaways etc. The more consistent you are the more your appear on members Facebook feeds. And the more likes your page will receive.

7/ Send out a newsletter to your email subscribers

If you have an email list then use it. Send out a newsletter with the latest news about your page. Tell them about contests and giveaways, encourage likes to your page.

8/ Comment on other Facebook pages and in groups

Use your page name to comment on other members pages and profiles. Get involved in the conversation within niche groups and build relationships with other Facebook users. Visit niche groups and contribute.

How to get more Facebook Likes

The bigger question. Is it worth the time and effort that it takes to chase down Facebook Likes?

The answer for us is no not really. We really just use our Facebook page as a share channel where you share newly created Infobunny content to our page via a Facebook share button. Chasing down Likes just to qualify are a slightly better share of our views is just not a sensible strategy for us.

Trying to get back views stripped out by the Facebook algorithm just makes no sense to us. And we have no intention of paying for what is rightfully ours anyway. But of course this is just our opinion and there are those who would say the complete opposite. And that is fine, it just comes down to what works for you.

So it is over to you. Do you have any smart ways to get more Facebook Likes? Let me know in the comments section below.

Thank you for all these tips, my favorite one is geting involved in the conversation within niche groups and trying to build relationships with other fb users. Like we do on steemit. Facebook is also a community, we must build a trust rank. Also a tip is to use an open source photo editing software, for doing high quality content, because otherwise you don’t attract many users.

Great tips and I could not agree more with your final comment. I have a page, I post to it but don’t make myself crazy. I share links from some of those posts on my profile page and that has helped to bring new followers. I have occasionally paid to boost a post in the past but doubt I will do it again unless I have a product launch or something because there really is little ROI for the money invested. Thanks!

Thanks for stopping by, yes they matter because they tell the algorithm what you like, unfortunately, those likes have to be renewed because their effectiveness wears off fast

    Hi Dexter,

I’m with you. Facebook likes are about equal to being the U.S. vice-president – as some wag suggested “a bucket of warm spit”.
    Enjoyed your candor.

All great tips Dexter! I think the most important one is probably #6 – post consistently. Because there’s no point asking people to go visit and like your page if there’s never anything new on it.

    Thanks Dexter,

It’s encouraging to know I’m not the only one who has more or less given up on Facebook likes. Nevertheless, those are good tips and I will implement them, but without driving myself mad.
